One thing is guaranteed for sure, Nigeria street foods are the most delicious food you will ever eat in Nigeria. Every Nigerian has had one or two if not all the listed street foods. The varieties of Nigerian food and diverse taste makes you comeback for more.Nigerians are lovers of tasty foods. There are certain foods we cannot do without whether it is Meshai (fried noodle and egg) joints or the akara (beans cake) seller, our love for street food cannot be quenched.Street food in Nigeria is on another level. They could serve you as a meal on the go, a snack or an appetizer. Either because, we were stuck in traffic or we suddenly crave these food. Nigeria street foods have a unique flavor that you cannot find anywhere else.Here are some of the best local dishes, both easy on the palate and pocket, that Lagos has to serve up.
1. Okpa- This is a popular street food from the Eastern part of Nigeria. It is made from Bambara nuts that has been dried and grinded to flour. It taste really good,

2. Boiled & roasted corn & pear — You will always find boiled corn sold with pear or coconut, they do not taste same everywhere. However, when carefully roasted, there are no dark or burnt patches and are freshly made probably because the sellers are experienced in the process. Roasted corn is soft and crispy, unlike some, which may stands the taste of time before they taken to the market for sale or roasting.

3. Akara — Akara is a deep fried Nigerian meal made with ground (peeled)beans and spices. It can be eaten as breakfast, lunch or dinner.

4. Guguru and epa — On some sunny afternoons, you would find vendors swing by selling guguru (popcorn) and epa (groundnut).

5. Kunu — Kunu, also known as Kunu Zaki, is a non-alcoholic Nigerian beverage made of germinated grain known as millet. This drink is popular in Northern Nigeria and prepared mostly by the Hausas. The key ingredient used in preparing kunu, millet, is very nutritious and beneficial to human health, thus making kunu a very nutritional drink.

6. Zobo — Zobo drink is a familiar beverage loved by Nigerians. It is produced from dried Hibiscus leaves. This bright red drink is loved both for every day and as a refreshment drink in parties. 7. Fura de Nono — Fura da Nono as the Hausas call it or Fura de nunu as the majority of Nigerians choose to refer to it, is a very healthy and satisfying food. Nono or Nunu is a local yogurt with thick lumps produced from the fermentation of cow milk.

The filtered cereal is then allowed to ferment for up to three days until sour. It is then boiled into a pap, or cooked to make a creamy pudding. It may be eaten with Moin Moin or Akara.
